South African general elections in North-West province

The results of the national elections in the North West province were the following:

PARTY 2014 RESULTS PTS CHANGE FROM 2009

ANC 67.79% -6.05%

  •  DA 12.59% 3.89%
  •  EFF 12.53%  – – –
  •  VF Plus 1.61% 0.17%
  •  UDM 0.96% 0.44%

The ANC won with a big margin the elections in this region but as in almost all the country the votation decreased in this case by -6,05% which is very significant. The DA get the second place with just 12,59% but with a positive change of 3,89% similar to what happen in other parts of the country. The EFF get the biggest result in this province, only 0,06% behind the DA. This is worrying in the Boer-Afrikaner perspective and shows that the EFF propaganda can be effective among poor blacks specially the younger generations. The VF Plus had it’s second best result in North West with a positive change of 0,17% probably because this region albeit don’t having many whites has many boers and those are who are suffering more with the racist blacks attacks.

The results of the provincial elections in the Rustenburg city were the following:

PARTY 2014 RESULTS PTS CHANGE FROM 2009

 ANC 56.57% -15.75%

  •  EFF 21.33%  – – –
  •  DA 13.29% 2.45%
  •  UDM 3.45% 2.17%
  •  COPE 1.55% -6.29%
  •  VF Plus 1.14% -0.03%

The ANC won the provincial elections in Rustenburg but had a sharp decrease in the votes with a negative change of -15,75%. Part of those -15.75% ex-ANC votes went to the EFF that get an enormus result of 21,33%. Even considering the fact that in the Rustenburg suburbs live many poor blacks specially in the mining sector this is a really worrying result that should make us think about the danger of the EFF. The DA came in third with just 13,29% but as in almost all the country it had a positive change, in this case 2,45%. The center-left UDM get 3,45% of the votes with a positive change of 2,17%. The VF Plus was sixth with a negative decrease of  0,03% which is normal because the best result of the VF Plus was in rural areas and not in large cities.

2014 national elections in Mpumalanga

The results of the national elections in the Mpumalanga province were the following:

 ANC 78.80% -7.01%

  •  DA 10.04% 2.44%
  •  EFF 6.15%  – – –
  •  BRA 0.88%  – – –
  •  VF Plus 0.85% 0.02%

The ANC won again easily the elections in this province. However is important to notice that the votes in the party had a negative change of -7,01% which shows that even in one of the traditional bastions of the ANC the party is losing a lot of votes. The DA increased is votes by 2,44% and is now over 10%. The EFF had 6,15% of the votes in Mpumalanga which is around the average of it get in the country. Besides, the VF Plus had  positive change of 0,02% to 0,85% which is a bit below the national average but is explained by the fact that this region has not many Boer-Afrikaners.

The result of the provincial election on Nelspruit (Mbombela) wer the following:

 ANC 81.99% -5.98%

  •  DA 11.22% 3.44%
  •  EFF 4.93%  – – –
  •  VF Plus 0.58% -0.01%

Again the ANC won, with a similar result as in the province but again with a negative change in this case of -5,98%. The DA came in second here with a result of 11,22% and with a big positive change of 3,44%. This tendency is similar to wat happen in other parts of the country. The EFF result is low here but might be explain because blacks in city live generally better than  out of it. The VF Plus had a low result here but is due to the fact that the suburbs (Mbombela) were also considered and not only Nelspruit city, which decrease the percentage of Boer-Afrikaners.

2014 elections in Western Cape

The results of the 2014 national elections in the Western Cape were the following:

PARTY 2014 RESULTS PTS CHANGE FROM 2009

  • DA 57.26% 8.48%
  •  ANC 34.00% 1.14%
  •  EFF 2.32%
  •  ACDP 1.17% -0.45%
  •  VF Plus 1.07% 0.21%
  •  COPE 0.64% -8.42%

We can see that the DA won again the elections reforcing is victory of 48,78% in 2009 to 57,26% in 2014. The ANC increased marginally it’s result but to difference to the DA is now much bigger than it was in 2009. The EFF get a small result here which isn’t surprising and the VF Plus had a positive change of 0,21% which is pretty good in a region in which most of the Boer-Afrikaners don’t have the same problems that Boer-Afrikaners have in other regions of the country. The COPE had a great decrease in his votes because don’t fulfill the hopes of it’s 2009 voters.

The results of the 2014 provincial elections in Cape Town (Kaapstad) were the following:

PARTY 2014 RESULTS PTS CHANGE FROM 2009

  •  DA 59.31% 8.39%
  •  ANC 32.41% -0.35%
  •  EFF 2.72%  – – –
  •  ACDP 1.26% -0.48%
  •  VF Plus 0.65% 0.10%

In a similar way that happen in the rest of the province the DA won again the elections in Cape Town increasing the result of 50,92% to 59,31%. The ANC result was almost the same as it was in 2009. The EFF get a small result in it’s first elections in Cape Town which is normal because Cape Town is a city with a majority of coloured people and the poverty rates are lower than in other parts of the country. The VF Plus increased is result by 0,1% but is a small result that happens because of the lower crime rates that Cape Town has comparing to other parts of country.

2014 elections in the Gauteng province

The results of the provincial elections in the Gauteng province were the following:

PARTY  SEATS %VOTE

  •  ANC 40 53.59%
  •  DA  23 30.78%
  •  EFF 8 10.30%
  •  VF Plus 1 1.20%
  •  IFP 1 0.78%
  •  ACDP 0 0.62%

The ANC won again the elections in this province with the DA in second place but the difference shortened because the ANC had a negative change of -9,84% of the votes and the DA increased is votes by 7,25% which shows that in this region the ANC is losing a lot of ground to the DA despite still being, by a large margin, the major party. In it’s first elections the EFF get 10,3% which is worrying but might be explained by the large poverty in this region which is responsibility of the ANC. The VF Plus came in fourth place with a negative change of -0,11% but with a better result than in the overall country.

City of Johannsburg

The results of the provincial elections in the Johannsburg city were the following:

PARTY 2014 RESULTS PTS CHANGE FROM 2009

     ANC 53.63% -9.52%

  •  DA 29.76% 8.92%
  •  EFF 10.15%  – – –
  • IFP 1.32% -1.01%
  • UDM 0.64% 0.21%
  •  VF Plus 0.44% -0.03%

In the city of Johannsburg the change of votes were similar to what happened in the Gauteng province with the ANC losing a lot of votes, -9,52% and DA gaining votes, 8,92%. This might be a sign that the people is starting to understand all the bad things that the ANC do to South Africa and that the DA might be a better solution to the country. The VF Plus had a small result here, 0,44%, which is explained by the fact that this city has few Boer-Afrikaners.

City of Pretoria

The results of the provincial elections in the Tshwane metro, where is located Pretoria, were the following:

     ANC 50.96% -10.11%

  •  DA 31.32% 6.42%
  • EFF 11.41%  – – –
  •  VF Plus 2.52% -0.38%
  •  ACDP 0.83% -0.28%

In the Tshwane metro the trend was similar to the one seen in the Gauteng Province and in Johannsburg. The ANC still won but lost, -10,11% of the votes, and the DA gain, 6,42% of the votes which gives a reduction of more than 16% of the margin between the two parties, which is pretty significant. The EFF of Julius Malema had again a big result of 11,41% and the VF Plus had 2,52% of the votes which is good but 0,28% inferior to the result of the last elections.

2014 elections

Due to professional reasons we were unable to post anything in the last month. However we will increase the number of texts in the following months.

In May of this year it was held in South Africa both the national elections and the provicial elections.

The National Results were the following:

PARTY SEATS %VOTE

  •  ANC 249 62.15%
  •  DA 89 22.23%
  •  EFF 25 6.35%
  •  IFP 10 2.40%
  •  NFP 6 1.57%
  •  UDM 4 1.00%
  •  VF Plus 4 0.90%

In comparison with the previous elections the ANC lost 3,75% of the votes in comparison with the last election and get the lowest result ever. In opposition the Democratic Alliance is still the official oposition increasing largely the number of votes by 5,57% and get it’s biggest result ever. The EFF of Julius Malema gather 6,35% of the votes in their first election and the Inkatha Freedom Party had a change of -2,15%, it’s lowest result ever too. The VF Plus had a positive change of 0,07% which is the biggest since 1994 despite not having big differences throught the years and keeping the number of seats in the parliament, 4.

We are happy by seeing the ANC losing votes because they are the biggest responsible for the present situation in South Africa in which poverty, unemployment and crime are huge and the discrimination against whites makes part of the daily rotine. We see positively the strong increase of the DA we think that is positive for South Africa in general, because the DA politicians are more competent than the ANC ones, the Western Cape is the region of South Africa which is best managed, and for Boer-Afrikaners in particular because it is the party in which more Boer-Afrikaners vote and so is a party the could protect more the Boer-Afrikaners than the ANC. We are worried by seeing the EFF with so many votes in the first elections because these is a party with a radical and anti-white agenda that puts in risk the live of many Boer-Afrikaners despite of being still a low pole the manipulative speech of Julius Malema could increase a lot the votes in the next elections. The Boer-Afrikaner organizations should continue their fight trying to illegalize this racist party that threats the whites in South Africa. The VF Plus, the most representative Boer-Afrikaner party,  increased the number of votes by 0,07% which is positive but we still think that many Boer-Afrikaners are resignated to the present situation of South Africa and don’t do enough to change the course of the events. The fact is that the vote in the Vryheidsfront plus is the beste way to defend the interest of the Boer-Afrikaners. Also, the party need to do more trying to capitalize votes, because of the problems of many Boer-Afrikaners specially the large amount of poor Afrikaners. Maybe, a bigger focus on social-economic politics could be positive to get more votes of those people and also try to clear once more that the party has nothing to do with Apartheid. We also want to refer the new Front Nasionaal party that get 0,03% of the votes.

We will next do analysis of the results in each province of the country.
